You'll craft logic-driven CPM schedules, fold in procurement and third-party dependencies, and convert field data into clear progress updates and forecasts. By surfacing critical-path risks early, shaping recovery strategies, and keeping stakeholders aligned, you'll help every project advance safely, efficiently, and on time.

This posting is for future roles and not for a specific opportunity that is available right now. We accept applications and conduct interviews in advance of upcoming hiring needs. When a candidate is selected, their profile is activated in our talent pool for this specialty area. We notify our talent pool candidates first whenever we have a project need.

This posting targets New York, NY, and Newark, NJ.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain an integrated CPM schedule that covers design through turnover, with logically linked activities, resource or cost loading, and clear coding for cost-control alignment.
  • Collect field progress data, update status weekly or monthly, and produce look-aheads, variance reports, and earned-value forecasts.
  • Run critical path and what-if analyses to test sequencing options, recovery plans, and alternative delivery scenarios.
  • Perform schedule-risk assessmentsidentify drivers, quantify exposure with tools such as Monte Carlo simulations, recommend contingencies, and track mitigation actions.
  • Support change orders and claims by preparing Time Impact Analyses that tie delays to cost and contractual entitlement.
  • Integrate third-party interfaces, permitting, utility relocations, and long-lead procurement items, so the plan reflects all external dependencies.
  • Generate concise narrative reports, Gantt charts, S-curves, and KPI dashboards for project managers, field teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Enforce schedule governance standards, maintain data integrity in scheduling tools, and mentor junior schedulers to raise overall planning maturity.
Attributes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative mindset that fosters teamwork, trust, and positive relationships.
  • Natural curiosity, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on scheduling experience for heavy-civil infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with full CPM baseline schedule development, resource or cost loading, and progress updating.
  • Proven ability to interpret design drawings, specifications, BIM models, and work-breakdown structures and translate them into logically sequenced activities.
  • Experience conducting critical path and variance analyses, preparing Time Impact Analyses, and quantifying schedule risk using Monte Carlo or similar methods.
  • Proficiency with industry standard project and construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, TILOS, MS Project, Bluebeam, RSMeans, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in engineering or construction management.
  • Active professional certifications such as PSP (AACE), PMI-SP or PMP (PMI), and/or CCM (CMAA).
  • Experience with large (>$500M), complex, heavy-civil infrastructure projects that include highways, roads, bridges, transit (including rail and bus), and/or airport projects.
  • Experience delivering projects through both traditional and alternative methods (e.g., DB, CM/GC, P3).
  • Experience preparing and defending Time Impact Analyses, delay claims, and recovery plans before owners, contractors, and dispute resolution boards.
  • Experience performing advanced schedule-risk assessments, including Monte Carlo simulations, P-Factor analysis, and P50/P80 forecasting.
  • Proficiency in schedule risk analysis using tools such as Primavera Risk, Deltek Acumen Fuse, or @Risk.
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms for building interactive dashboards and KPI visualizations.
