Job Description :

We have a great opportunity for a Project Scheduler who can support a large CAPEX Project and smaller projects within a program utilizing Microsoft Project and Primavera P6. This is for projects in Life Sciences, including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical devices. The scopes will include civil, structural, mechanical, process piping, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, automation systems, commissioning & validation, regulatory, and operational readiness.

On-site position: Thousand Oaks, CA with some Hybrid Opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop quality schedule baselines.
  • Versatile people skills, from the field foreman to the vice president.
  • Manage schedule and perform updates.
  • Perform what-if schedule scenarios, advanced schedule analysis, and variance analysis reports. Manage schedule changes and analyze change impact.
  • Summarize schedule status in a narrative and create status reports and presentations for management.
  • Perform resource planning and optimization.
  • Facilitate project and schedule meetings.
  • Facilitate pull planning sessions.
  • Produce meaningful schedule reports and analysis.
  • Ensure schedules are developed in compliance with corporate and department requirements and contractual requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and presentation capabilities: written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate a team spirit and strong dedication to success of the team.
  • Construction experience required
  • Knowledge in the construction of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Experience with schedule updates and progressing.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in Microsoft Project for scheduling.
  • Experience in life sciences.

Education and Training:

  • 8+ years Microsoft Project Scheduling Experience
  • 5+ Relevant Construction Experience on Projects for Life Sciences
  • 2+ years Oracle P6 Scheduling Experience
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Any certification from PMI or AACE is beneficial
