Job Brief
Under general supervision, coordinates all phases of the administrative process, planning, and execution of shop work schedules. Determines man-hour availability for Standing Work, Construction, or other specified services. Provides schedule coordination, contract data administration and functional support and coordination to support operations, under general supervision.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to multi-task and produce schedules for multiple projects.
- Prepares Construction schedules using automated software programs such as Microsoft Project and assures milestones are tracked and updated.
- Ensures Management is updated on the progress of projects.
- Prepares daily shop work schedules. Coordinates shop work schedules with the shop supervisor and customers.
- Develops long-range, short-range, and/or special work plans. Compiles periodic performance reports. Generates recommendations based on analytical data relative to shop personnel-loading, effectiveness, and failure rates.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of shops by thorough analysis of completed work authorization documents.
- Collects data, and prepares correspondence, reports, and plans pertinent to the scheduling and accomplishment of assigned shop work in accordance with company directives and regulations.
- Establishes and maintains suspense and historical work documentation files.
- Assists in developing plans, including budgets and schedules, to meet contractual/project requirements for several major portions of a program
- Ensures compliance with internal customer procedures such as government procurement regulations.
- Monitors progress of program requirements.
- Provides weekly and monthly transactional and pricing support to programs including reviewing subcontractor and vendor invoices to verify costs and codes for payment, auditing employee travel voucher submissions and setting up labor categories and rates in accounting systems, as needed to support cost loaded schedules.
- Participates in contract performance variance analyses and risk analyses, prepares reports as required.
- Performs other administrative and operational duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in roofing construction
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project Microsoft Professional, certification preferred
- Experience working with scheduling principles, software and databases
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.
- Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire).
