Project Planner/Scheduler (Part time)

This role is part time. 50% (20 + hours). The timings can be agreed with project manager. There is some flexibility to it e.g. first month can be higher due to boarding etc.
Site Visits: 1 day on site per month to site location in St. Louis - role can be remote/hybrid. they want someone close enough to come to the site.
Experience: Extensive experience supporting capital investment (CAPEX) projects across life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotech, and advanced manufacturing sectors. This includes initiation, FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning & qualification, validation and handover. Typical project size from $50 million to $500 million, with some candidates having supported mega-projects exceeding $1 billion.
Certifications: PSP from AACE or PMI-SP - highly preferred
Tool Skills: Oracle Primavera, MS Project - required
Education: Bachelors in Engineering
• Create and maintain integrated master project schedules and detailed sub-schedules (e.g. Initiation, Design, Procurement, Construction).
• Implement and maintain the progress measurement system in line with the standards, including maintaining progress S-curves for the overall project and its phases, as required.
• Conduct schedule risk analysis using Monte Carlo Simulation.
• Regularly assess and maintain schedule quality.
• Analyze resource allocations across the project schedule; identify shortages, clashes or overallocations and work with teams to resolve.
• Coordinate updates to resource plans where needed, based on scheduling or delivery requirements.
• Prepare and distribute clear, concise schedule updates with a narrative and analysis on schedule changes including critical path and milestones, period and cumulative progress vs planned, schedule risks.
• Provide feasible mitigation recommendations to pull back progress and schedule, support development of recovery plans and schedules.
• Develop schedule management plan and basis of schedule documentations.
• Maintain records of project changes and assess schedule impact for approved changes, potential changes and EOT claims.
• Facilitate or support planning workshops to develop or update project schedules with input from relevant stakeholders and contractors.
• Review and incorporate key milestones and constraints from contractor and internal team schedules into the overall project schedule.
• Regularly monitor and adjust project schedules to reflect actual progress, evolving project priorities, and agreed changes.
• Track procurement milestones and supply chain activities; highlight risks to timely delivery and propose mitigation actions as needed.
• Support generation of project controls content for monthly reports, governance packs, and highlight reports.
• Site walkdown to review progress, as necessary.
