The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both cost estimation and project management, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements associated with waterline/utility distribution. They will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, managing resources, and overseeing all phases of the project to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.**Essential Functions:**The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:**• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for waterline/utility distribution projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.**• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.**• Manage project timelines, ensuring all phases of the project are completed on time.**• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure the availability of necessary resources.**• Monitor project progress, making adjustments as needed to address any issues or delays.**• Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.**• Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential project risks.**• Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders, providing updates on progress, budget, and any issues encountered.**• Ensure all project activities comply with industry regulations and company policies, particularly those related to utility operations and safety.**• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.**• Develop and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and as-built drawings.**• Ensure strict adherence to environmental and regulatory requirements specific to waterline/utility distribution.**• Lead project kickoff meetings and regular status updates with internal teams and external stakeholders.**• Implement quality control measures to ensure that all project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards.**• Manage project finances, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and ensuring all financial aspects of the project are aligned with budget expectations.**Qualifications/Special Knowledge Skills:**• Strong knowledge regarding the operations, safety, and maintenance of equipment being used.**• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of managers and staff.
