Job Description

CDM Smith seeks a Project Manager experienced in Water and Wastewater projects for our West Central group. You will lead planning and design for water treatment, wastewater, pump stations, conveyance, and water resources projects in Arizona, and support business development. With over 20 years in Arizona, our local office offers broad engineering services including design, construction administration, environmental, and planning.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Manage major water & wastewater projects in Arizona.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Oversee scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
  • Ensure quality assurance/control of deliverables.
  • Assist with client meetings and business development.
  • Engage in professional societies and build client relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 7 years related experience.
  • PMP, CCM, or DBIA certification (within 12 months).
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Equivalent experience can substitute for degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering.
  • PE license.
  • Experience in municipal water/wastewater projects.
  • Managing multi-discipline teams.
  • Strong communication and client interaction skills.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Travel: Approx. 10%.

Skills & Abilities

  • Project management methodology expertise.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
