OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Project Manager position in our Water and Wastewater practice in our Denver, Greenwood Village, Colorado Springs, or Loveland, Colorado offices. This position requires an experienced project manager with a successful track record in winning and delivering projects. Part-time schedules may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Typical salary range for this position is $125,000 - $162,000. Base pay may vary depending on experience and skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Manage a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians on water and wastewater projects.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, growth, project delivery, staffing, and financial performance.
  • Apply Merrick's policies and procedures on assignments.
  • Work closely with clients to define and deliver scope of work.
  • Prepare and oversee fee proposals for water and wastewater design work.
  • Lead design teams, perform planning and design tasks, review designs, and manage project delivery.
  • Exercise initiative and judgment appropriate to the role.
  • Maintain strong interpersonal skills to interface effectively with clients and community members.
  • Some travel may be required.
The Successful Candidate shall:
  • Have experience and knowledge in water treatment, conveyance, wastewater treatment, and infrastructure, with familiarity with regulations and some construction observation experience.
  • Proven success in business development, project management, and managing schedules and budgets for complex civil engineering projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable.
  • Be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school.
  • PE license in Colorado or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Significant experience in infrastructure engineering and project management.
  • Strong technical design skills in water and wastewater projects.
  • Proven project delivery success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in engineering preferred.
