Our Utility Sector team is growing! The Utility Project Manager supports electrical utility capital projects including substation upgrades, transmission line upgrades, hydro projects, Smart Grids, environmental compliance work, and gas projects. We are hiring multiple Project Managers in the following locations:

  • Rochester, NY
  • Binghamton, NY
  • Augusta, ME
  • Orange, CT

How will you contribute to the team?
  • Provide management and daily leadership for AtkinsRéalis project teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Create and execute project plans, revising as needed.
  • Manage operational aspects and scope of services.
  • Promote effective communication among stakeholders.
  • Implement management systems supporting quality, safety, risk, and change control.
  • Identify resources and assign responsibilities.
  • Review deliverables and prepare for project reviews.
  • Minimize project risks and ensure proper documentation.
  • Track and report team hours and expenses.
  • Support financial management including forecasting, invoicing, and receivables.
  • Manage legal documents and support project legal compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What will you contribute?
  • Minimum 5+ years of utility project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree; Engineering or MBA preferred.
  • PMI-certified (PMP or Program Management Professional).
  • Understanding of project management, design & construction, CPM scheduling, cost modeling, and risk analysis.
  • Proficiency with Primavera, Expedition/Prolong, Epoch, CATO, and MS Office suite.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Additional Information

Expected salary range: $85,000 - $125,000/year, depending on experience and location. We are hiring in Binghamton, Rochester, Orange, and Augusta, with relocation assistance available.
