Requirements

The Project Manager for Solar Projects at SolAmerica Energy will oversee multiple solar energy initiatives from conception through completion in Pennsylvania. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in project management within the solar or renewable energy sector.

The Project Manager will coordinate with stakeholders, manage team dynamics, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a comprehensive understanding of solar technology, and a commitment to advancing sustainable energy efforts.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead planning and implementation of solar projects from initiation to closure;
• Ensure project goals are met within budgets and timelines;
• Manage financial reconciliation and reporting to ensure transparency and accountability;
• Coordinate efforts between internal teams and external partners, including contractors and suppliers;
• Assess risks, manage change orders, and oversee project deliverables through meetings and reports;
• Guide engineering and procurement phases for timely material sourcing;
• Oversee site installations, ensuring safety and quality standards;
• Communicate project progression and milestones to stakeholders;
• Create and maintain project schedules and documentation;
• Implement quality assurance measures;
• Facilitate utility interconnection processes;
• Coordinate project activities and facilitate project hand-offs;
• Understand project finance impacts on larger initiatives and schedules.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Experience in Community Solar and Distributed projects is highly preferred;
• Proven project management experience in solar or renewable energy sectors;
• Knowledge of solar photovoltaic systems and installation best practices;
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills;
• Ability to analyze construction documents and manage multiple projects concurrently;
• Familiarity with regulations applicable to solar projects;
• Experience with Independent Power Producers (IPP), EPC, Change Management, CPM Scheduling, Procore, Site Tracker, and Battery Storage is advantageous;

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with renewable energy companies and solar sector knowledge;
• Background in solar electrical engineering, array design, and geotechnical procedures;
• Field experience and familiarity with utility interconnection testing;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and project management certifications such as PMP, NABCEP PVIPC preferred.

Office Location & Travel Requirements

Preference for candidates based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, or nearby within the Eastern Time Zone. Travel to project sites will be required.
