Organizational Overview:
Synchrony's Risk Team is a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to providing oversight as 2nd Line of Defense. Our Risk organization consists of 4 pillars: Compliance, Credit & Financial Risk, Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk. Each of the pillars plays a vital role in managing Risk and supports the business in anticipating and addressing risks, issues, and challenge. This role is aligned to the Risk India team, requiring cross-functional effectiveness, and contribute to Enterprise, Compliance, Credit, Operational and Supervisory Affairs Risk pillar.

This role involves driving initiatives such as Learning & Development programs, senior
leadership visits, offsite events, and process digitization efforts. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a Business Analyst or Project Manager in process digitization and be skilled in data visualization and presentation tools.
Role Summary:

leadership visits, offsite events, and process digitization efforts. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a Business Analyst or Project Manager in process digitization and be skilled in data visualization and presentation tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and deliver various projects supporting the Risk strategy, including Learning & Development initiatives, offsite events, and coordination of senior leadership visits.
Collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, clear communication, and timely project delivery.
Develop and maintain polished PowerPoint presentations that summarize project status, insights, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Create and update Tableau dashboards/reports to provide visual data insights supporting Risk function decision-making.
Assist with process digitization projects: gathering requirements, tracking progress, and supporting implementation alongside Business Analysts and technical teams.
Act as a dependable liaison between the Risk India Leader and other departments to facilitate smooth project execution and stakeholder engagement.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and generate regular updates and status reports.
Identify potential risks and issues related to project delivery and work with leadership to develop mitigation plans.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, or related discipline with 3-5 years of experience managing projects, preferably within financial services or risk management environments and 5-7 years of experience in lieu of a degree
Experience supporting or leading process digitization and automation projects, preferably with exposure to business analysis and requirements gathering
Proven ability to work with senior leadership teams and manage multiple priorities concurrently.
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills for creating polished presentations and storytelling for executive audiences.
Good working knowledge of Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Familiarity with Agile or SAFe frameworks and project management tools (e.g., JIRA) to drive iterative delivery and collaboration.
Experience coordinating Learning & Development programs and event management is an advantage.
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
Certification or experience as a SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager or equivalent Agile certification.
Experience coordinating or managing Learning & Development initiatives and organizing senior leadership events or offsites.
Knowledge of low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform) to support or lead process automation efforts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis or risk assessment
Experience working in a highly regulated environment with compliance and audit focus.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain high ethical standards.
Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of driving change and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related discipline with 3-5 years of experience managing projects, preferably within financial services or risk management environments and 5-7 years of experience in lieu of a degree. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, SAFe, CBAP) will be preferred
Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressive project management experience, preferably within financial services, risk management, or a regulated environment. Demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst or in process digitization/automation projects is strongly preferred. Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Work Timings: This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings
