Job Description: Oversees and manages multiple advanced projects in design and construction.
Management Scope: Oversees activities of exempt and non-exempt staff.
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects; assist in defining staffing needs and budgets, including scope and costs for capital improvements and thoroughfare projects; develop data for improvements; interpret design considerations.Serve as liaison between engineering and construction to ensure timely completion, compliance with contracts, standards, and funding.Review change orders, monitor material testing, coordinate utility adjustments.Oversee design staff preparing engineer plans for public works projects.Verify and recommend payments to contractors, consultants, utility companies, and testing firms.Prepare and present data for hearings, meetings; serve as witness for eminent domain and civil court cases.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Three (3) years of experience as a Registered Professional Engineer.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in standard software and CAD software.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Licensed as a Registered Professional Engineer.
- Valid Texas Driver's License with good driving record.
Physical/Environmental Requirements: Standard office environment; ability to travel to work sites.
