Project Manager, Product Development - Oddity : Job Details

THE OPPORTUNITY

IL MAKIAGE is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and solutions-driven Project Manager to join our Product Development team, focused on packaging. In this role, you'll own the full lifecycle of packaging development across makeup, skincare, and new verticals—from initial brief to final production.

You'll set development strategies, build and manage timelines, lead supplier relationships, and oversee technical and creative execution—ensuring every component is delivered on time, on budget, and on brand. You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams (product, supply chain, R&D, creative, and operations) while managing global supplier communications to drive launches forward.

This role demands someone who thrives in complexity, moves fast without sacrificing precision, and balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution. If you excel at managing multiple workstreams, problem-solving in real time, and bringing beautiful, functional packaging to life, we want you on our team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead packaging development from concept to launch for assigned categories, owning every stage from ideation to production.
• Build and drive detailed project plans and Gantt timelines, ensuring on-time delivery across sampling, testing, artwork, and manufacturing.
• Develop and implement packaging strategies informed by market research, trend analysis, and material innovation.
• Manage supplier relationships—issuing briefs, reviewing prototypes, negotiating timelines, and overseeing iteration cycles.
• Align and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure all deliverables meet design, technical, and regulatory standards.
• Track and optimize cost, quality, and specifications to support data-driven decisions.
• Facilitate consumer testing with mockups, prototypes, and user feedback to refine designs.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve issues quickly to protect timelines and ensure launch readiness.

WHO YOU ARE

• BA or BS from a top-tier university.
• 1–3 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, high-growth start-up, or another high-intensity role.
• Self-starter with a track record of taking ownership and driving complex projects to completion.
• Highly organized, able to bring clarity and structure to ambiguous situations.
• Strong communicator who can align and influence diverse stakeholders.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for budgets, timelines, and data tracking; proficient in PowerPoint/Slides and project management tools.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with competing priorities.
• Strategic thinker who can also execute with precision at a granular level.
• Passionate about building exceptional consumer products; interest in beauty is a plus, not a must.
• Bonus: experience with global supply chain, manufacturing, or the full CPG product lifecycle.
