We are seeking a Project Management Institute (PMI)-certified professional with at least 2 years of PMO experience and interest in industrial processes to lead the industrialization of traditional baked foods. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Smartsheet and Asana for managing complex projects and will work closely with Product Development and Operations teams to ensure a seamless transition from concept to large-scale production while maintaining product quality and authenticity.

This is a fulltime onsite role in our South San Francisco headquarters.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycles for traditional baked food product development, from ideation through industrialization to market launch.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development to translate innovative recipes and concepts into scalable industrial processes
  • Partner with Operations to align project plans with manufacturing capabilities, ensuring efficient, high-quality production that meets food industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets using Smartsheet or Asana to track progress and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Operations, Marketing, and Quality Assurance, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track, particularly during industrialization.
  • Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards for baked goods.
  • Leverage a strong interest in industrial processes to optimize production workflows and enhance scalability.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and tools to support efficient industrialization of traditional baked foods.

Who You Are

  • Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Management Officer (PMO) preferably , but not mandatory, in consumer goods product development
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Smartsheet and Asana for project planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Industrial Interest: Demonstrated interest in industrial processes, particularly in food manufacturing and scaling production.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of product development and industrialization processes, including formulation, packaging, and regulatory requirements for traditional baked foods (e.g., croissants, brioches).
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work closely with Product Development and Operations teams to ensure seamless industrialization while maintaining product quality.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Food Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
