Selectek is looking for a Project Manager in the Ames, IA area.Required:Basic experience in and understanding of the electrical field3+ years of relevant construction, engineering industry or similar experiencePost-college field experience in project management, purchasing, submittal review, and cost control/containmentMechanically minded problem solver with excellent math aptitudeHighly organized and detail-orientedResults-oriented with the ability to manage people and tasks in a deadline driven environmentExceptional critical thinking and organizational skillsExcellent communication with proven customer service skills to keep people and projects on taskSelf-starter attitude, works well with limited directionComputer skills such as Word, Excel, Outlook as well as the ability to utilize company’s CRM, ERP, and project management systemsPreferred:Electrical technology degree or relatedSome experience in heavy civil or mechanical type projects and/or water/wastewater industryJob Responsibilities:Conducts thorough audits of incoming orders in collaboration with the sales team, verifying the accuracy and compliance of all necessary documents to ensure a seamless transition from the sales phase to the engineering group.Develops comprehensive project plans, schedules, and coordinates all phases of assigned new projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and client expectations.Creates sales orders in company ERP system.Responsible for monitoring the submittal approval process with consulting engineers, equipment procurement, and production to meet the project timeline.Keeps product delivery dates updated in the company ERP and project management systems.Ensures effective communication and coordination of assigned projects between ASC operations group, manufacturers, and customers.Proactively identifies issues in orders and initiates corrective actions to resolve them, ensuring smooth project progression, and tracks progress through the life cycle of projects.Maintains and increases positive job margin through project completion.Assist project engineers with communications with consulting engineers and contractors throughout the project.Job Order Details:This position is responsible for coordinating all technical activities and end-to-end project management on assigned projects. Will oversee projects from design to completion.Sponsorship: NoPay Range: $70,000 - $110,000 annual salaryTerm of assignment:  Direct hireLocation of Job:  Ames, IA 50010Hours & Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30AM- 4:30PM w/ 1 hour for lunchWork from home/remote: NoTravel: Occasional but this is an office jobWork Attire: Business CasualDoes the client require a background check and drug test:  YesPlease contact Lizzie Johns at 470-###-#### or [email protected] for more information.Â
