A leading national construction management firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee large, complex Mission-Critical construction projects. This role is critical to the successful planning, execution, and financial performance of fast-paced, high-impact builds from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate brings technical excellence, sound judgment, and the leadership to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
Role Overview
This position is responsible for directing all phases of construction operations, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, procurement, and risk management. The Project Manager collaborates across stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality, and cost-effective projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of all construction activities from ground breaking to final delivery
- Develop and enforce site safety plans, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with all regulations
- Manage quality control efforts and perform regular audits
- Collaborate with business development teams to support client relationships and future opportunities
- Oversee project estimating, bid analysis, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations
- Prepare and manage budgets, schedules, change orders, and pay applications
- Direct field operations, including subcontractor and self-perform crews
- Coordinate project staffing and resource planning
- Facilitate regular project meetings with owners, architects, consultants, and internal teams
- Mentor and supervise project engineers, assistant project managers, and superintendents
- Ensure documentation, reporting, and closeout are completed accurately and efficiently
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil or Architectural Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction project management experience
- Proven track record managing mission-critical and complex builds
- Strong estimating and preconstruction experience
- Deep understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore, Primavera P6, and SharePoint
- Demonstrated commitment to job site safety and compliance
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
Working Conditions
- Primary work location in office or on-site project field office
- Exposure to construction environments including weather, noise, and site-specific safety considerations
- Travel may be required based on project locations
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with extended hours as needed
