Project Manager - InVenture : Job Details

Company Overview:

A well-funded independent power producer is seeking a Project Manager to lead utility-scale battery energy storage projects across the New York metro area. This is a boots-on-the-ground role with full ownership of project delivery from early-stage constructability assessments through final commissioning.

The incoming PM will take charge of active, fully financed projects. The company recently advanced nine new BESS projects into the RFP phase and is scaling its project management team to support a rapidly growing pipeline. This is not a support or coordination position. PMs here drive execution, manage budget and schedule, and have direct influence with senior leadership.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of full-cycle project management experience. Must include ownership of construction timelines, budget, and vendor performance, not just APM or Project Engineer responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably electrical or mechanical. International equivalents are acceptable.
• Proven experience managing EPC execution, navigating permitting and utility coordination, and driving projects through to COD.
• Strong communication and presence. This role interfaces directly with utilities, AHJs, and vendors, must be able to represent the project clearly and confidently.
• Background in solar, storage, wind, or large-scale infrastructure
• NYC or other high-density permitting experience
• Budget responsibility of $5M+
• Familiarity with interconnection processes, design reviews, and permitting compliance
