job summary: A Project Manager is needed for a major U.S. defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics in the Windsor Locks, CT area. This role will lead and support cross-functional teams in the design, development, assembly, and testing of flight hardware for NASA's Dragonfly Program by combining project management expertise with technical problem-solving skills. location: Windsor Locks, Connecticut job type: Contract salary: $24.94 - 33.37 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Program Chief, Engineering disciplines, VSL, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to meet project goals.
- Support and/or lead multi-discipline technical teams.
- Facilitate project engineering tasks across functional groups to align with project objectives.
- Drive project management processes including integrated scheduling, earned value management, and risk/opportunity management.
- Address Supplier Request for Information (SRIs).
- Determine disposition for Quality Notifications (QNs) using SAP.
- Initiate and drive closure of Engineering Changes in Windchill.
- Support technical issue resolution during hardware assembly and testing.
- Participate in root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and track project execution performance against plan.
- Analyze execution issues and implement corrective measures to keep projects on track.
