- About the Role:
- The Research Project Manager for Research Project Management Strategic Initiatives is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing resources and processes to achieve project objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints.
- This role contributes to the organization's mission by supporting the development and implementation of new processes and standards that impact functional results.
- How You Will Contribute:
- Meetings Management: Schedule and coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure effective meeting facilitation.
- Action Item Tracking: Track and follow up on action items to ensure timely completion and accountability.
- Content Development for Meetings: Develop and prepare content for project meetings, including presentations, reports, and other documentation.
- Project Communications Development and Execution: Create and execute comprehensive communication plans to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle. This includes:
- Developing clear and concise communication materials that highlight critical project updates, milestones, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensuring timely and effective dissemination of information to all relevant stakeholders.
- Utilizing various communication channels to maximize reach and impact.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of communication strategies and making necessary adjustments to improve engagement and understanding.
- Interpersonal Skills and Collaboration: Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills by effectively managing relationships, understanding others' perspectives, and fostering positive interactions. Work well with others and exhibit strong collaboration skills to achieve project goals.
- Objectives:
- Collaborate with project teams to develop comprehensive end-to-end project plans, including defining objectives, milestones, and measurable deliverables.
- Provide expert guidance on project management best practices to advance projects, including project artifact production, management, and archiving.
- Manage multiple projects to maximize value generation.
- Provide strategic insights on overall project performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Drive execution of project plans and critical decision-making, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of project goals and milestones.
- Influence key stakeholders through effective communication and strategic engagement to drive decision-making and project progression.
- Accountabilities:
- Support/manage cross-functional meetings, including scheduling logistics, creating and distributing meeting agendas and minutes, and driving completion of action items.
- Set standards for and develop best practices for meeting management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support development and implementation of new ways of working and technologies to enhance project infrastructure, data flow, and reporting.
- Ensure data integrity to support accurate reporting and communications.
- Track progress against project plans and ensure project teams/stakeholders have the tools necessary to deliver project objectives.
- Manage stakeholder communication in support of project execution and issue escalation.
Qualifications: - BS (15+ years of experience) or MS (13+ years of experience) or PhD (7+ years of experience)
- 4-6+ years of program management experience in early drug discovery AND late phase drug discovery - as a PROGRAM MANAGER
- early drug discovery (e.g., target identification, hit to-lead stages)
- late drug discovery (e.g., candidate stage, preclinical/IND enabling stages)
- Managing research projects (early and late-stage initiatives)
- Preferred: PMP Certification
Compensation: Up to $93.34 per hour depending on experience
