Job DescriptionJob DescriptionProject Manager - 12-Month ContractLocation: White Plains, NY (Hybrid - Minimum 3 days onsite) Duration: 12 months Employment Type: W2 Contract via Staffing AgencyPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee and manage the initiation and planning phases of new major projects and programs. This role involves developing proposals, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring successful project launch while maintaining alignment with organizational goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities
- Proposal Development: Lead and manage the development of proposals for new major projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic objectives
- Phase Management: Coordinate and oversee Phase 1 (Initiation) and Phase 2 (Planning) activities, including feasibility studies, project scoping, and resource planning
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project sponsors to understand requirements, objectives, and constraints while facilitating communication among cross-functional teams
- Documentation Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including project charters, business cases, and detailed project plans
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate collaboration among engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or success
- Executive Reporting: Prepare and present project proposals, status updates, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices throughout the proposal development process
- Progress Tracking: Monitor and report on project progress, including key milestones, deliverables, and budget status
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of project management experience with focus on proposal development and early-stage project planning
- PMP or relevant project management certification highly desirable
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results within deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar)
- Experience in energy, construction, or infrastructure sectors
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
