Job Summary:
The Project Manager II (PM II) is responsible for facilitating the execution of projects that support WellSenses strategic goals and objectives. The PM works with project teams throughout the lifecycle of a project, from Ideation through Closure. They are responsible for the scope, schedule, resources, and budget of assigned projects, and are accountable for project documentation and communication.
Project Managers support the business owner in delivering the projects benefits, and work closely with the project sponsor and project team to define and execute the work required to deliver the projects benefits. The PM coordinates and oversees the execution of the project management plan, including scope, schedule, resource, budget, risk, stakeholder, and communication elements.
Successful candidates will have the ability to exercise strong leadership and collaboration skills, manage complex project plans, help the organization adopt PM best practices, and identify opportunities to continuously improve delivery in our dynamic business environment.

Key Functions/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the business on chartering of new projects. Develop project management plans to support each new initiative.
- Ensure scope clarity and requirements definition. Manage the scope throughout the project life cycle to ensure alignment to the business objectives.
- Understand finance, planning, forecasting, and personnel to effectively manage team staff and business issues/linkages. Develop forecast and budget for assigned projects.
- Drive the development of project plans and work breakdown structures (WBS) to clarify the work and schedule.
- Identify all activities based on WBS, dependencies, create network diagrams, estimate durations, and determine the Critical Path.
- Manage project schedule and timelines to meet critical milestones.
- Create and log project dependencies, constraints, and risks; monitor, communicate, and report on them.
- Manage project resources throughout the lifecycle, monitor activities against the resource plan, and mitigate related risks.
- Utilize project tools to develop reports, status updates, and documentation for smooth project management.
- Plan and deliver project communications, ensuring stakeholder engagement and awareness.
- Coordinate project closure transitions and execute hand-offs to operational leadership.
- Prepare outcome reports post-project closure.
- Perform risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of project artifacts (Plans, RAIDs, Reports).
- Administer change control processes and leverage governance channels for project stability.
- Create and maintain organized project repositories and documentation.
- Effect change, meet business goals, and monitor progress effectively.
Supervision:
- This role does not have supervision responsibilities.
Supervision Received:
- Weekly direct supervision from a Manager.
- Regular indirect supervision from a Program Manager.
Qualifications: Education Required:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Completed advanced project management education curriculum.
Education Preferred:
- Valid PMP or equivalent certification.
- Six Sigma Certification (Green / Yellow) or similar.
Experience Required:
- 35 years of project management experience.
- Successfully managed projects with 10+ FTEs through full lifecycle.
- Project durations typically 1,5003,500 hours.
- Professional knowledge of the healthcare industry.
Experience Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with PPM tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana).
- 2+ years experience with a Health Plan or Healthcare sector.
- Experience with Medicaid or Medicare managed care.
- Experience with SAFe Agile methodology.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Pre-employment background check required.
