We are seeking a Project Manager I (PM-I) to join our team in the Southern Indiana service territory. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience managing critical infrastructure projects and contribute to keeping the lights on for our communities.
As a PM-I, you will have single-point accountability for White projects – typically smaller, accelerated pole replacement initiatives under $10M, impacting our facilities at a departmental level. You'll be instrumental in managing all phases of project planning and execution, ensuring success across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and vital areas like safety and environmental compliance.
What You'll Do:
- Lead Project Teams: Create, staff, and lead cross-functional project teams, providing daily leadership and coordination to internal and external organizations (engineering, construction, supply chain, EHS, etc.).
- Drive Communication: Establish and maintain robust communication channels with all project stakeholders, leading meetings and reporting project status effectively to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Comprehensive Planning: Oversee or assist in all aspects of project planning, including scope definition, estimating, scheduling, cost control, procurement strategies, and equipment selection.
- Flawless Execution: Manage projects from detailed design through construction, startup, commissioning, and turnover to operations, ensuring adherence to plan, budget, and schedule.
- Ensure Compliance: Uphold our company's commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, quality, and security throughout the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Associate's Degree OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of related experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related professional experience (5+ years if no degree).
- Strong communication skills: Verbal and written, for effective stakeholder interaction.
- Leadership potential: Ability to provide direction and coordination to diverse teams.
- Organizational prowess: Skilled in planning, scheduling, and managing multiple concurrent tasks.
- Attention to detail: Critical for ensuring compliance and project success.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (for future growth).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Configuration Management II Professional (CM2-P).
