This Opportunity

FPA is seeking to hire a Project Manager - Highway in our growing Transportation group focused on Highway and Traffic Improvement projects in our Newark, NJ Office. The successful candidate will lead design efforts on transportation projects including highway reconstruction, safety, intersection improvements, pedestrian trails, and more.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop design documents for transportation improvements using AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation
  • Provide construction support services as needed
  • Complete assignments independently with minimal supervision
  • Collaborate within the transportation group and across disciplines on larger projects
  • Delegate tasks to staff engineers and oversee their work
  • Monitor project schedule, budget, and staffing
  • Participate in client contact and communication
  • Assist in proposals and business development with management
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of related work experience
  • PE license required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
  • Experience in roadway, traffic, and/or bridge projects (NJDOT or PennDOT experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of local and design standards
  • Understanding of traffic engineering principles is a plus
  • Motivated to work on diverse transportation projects
  • Willing to represent FPA at professional societies and seminars
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
