Project Manager, Asphalt Plants (Heavy Machinery)Company Overview:Our client is a leading global supplier of mixing plants, machines and services for the construction industry with core competencies in road construction and transport infrastructure. Since 1869, they have set the benchmark in the road construction industry with countless innovations and competitive, reliable solutions.Position Overview:The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining compliance with local regulations and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Position is locate located in Florence-KY.Key Responsibilities:* Project Execution & Coordination* Lead the full lifecycle of asphalt plant projects from initiation to completion.* Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless project execution.* Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations (health, safety, environmental, labor codes).* Monitor project milestones, costs, quality, and documentation.* Manage project administration and reporting using tools such as SAP.* Customer & Stakeholder Engagement* Serve as the main point of contact for customers during project execution.* Conduct regular meetings with customer representatives to ensure satisfaction and smooth project flow.* Obtain and manage critical project information (e.g., state norms, emission limits, layout approvals).* Technical Oversight* Ensure equipment is designed and built to specification.* Provide direction to engineering teams for timely and accurate deliverables.* Review and support quotations during the offering phase.* Documentation & Compliance* Maintain comprehensive project documentation including correspondence, drawings, and meeting notes* Ensure plant operator instructions and snagging lists are completed and documented.* Close out projects with final punch-lists and ensure full customer payment.* Financial & Contract Management* Monitor labour, parts, and material charges to ensure project profitability.* Manage contract scope, changes, and claims in coordination with sales and legal teams.Qualifications/Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.5+ years of experience in project management within the plant or heavy machinery industry.Experience in the asphalt plants or construction materials industry is highly desirable.Technical Skills* Proficiency in project planning and execution, MS project.* Knowledge of blueprints, AutoCAD layouts, and field measurements.* Familiarity with asphalt plant electrical and control systems is a plus.* Experience with SAP (PS Module) or similar ERP systems.Soft Skills* Strong organizational and communication skills.* Ability to manage conflict, build relationships, and adapt to change.* High integrity, reliability, and assertiveness.* Strong presentation and moderation skills for job site and internal meetings.* Methodological Skills* Creative and flexible problem-solving approach.* Structured and well-organized project management style.* Continuous drive for optimization and improvement.Travel Requirements* Willingness to travel 60-70% of the time, including regional and occasional international travel.* Must be able to conduct site visits, attend customer meetings, and oversee on-site project activities.* Work LocationAfter you have applied, download our Staffmark Group WorkNOW App to receive real-time job offers and apply for additional opportunities.
