Title: Project Manager Community Resiliency

Classification: Exempt

Reports to: Director of Climate Justice Initiatives

Job Summary: The Project Manager Community Resiliency is a dynamic and energetic outreach and project leader responsible for driving the American Addition+ Net Zero Neighborhood Project. This position will also be responsible forcoordination between IMPACTs Climate Justice Initiatives and Weatherization Departments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall project management of the American Addition+ Net ZeroNeighborhood Project, including planning, organizing and executing tasks to achieve desiredoutcomes
  • Builds strong relationships with stakeholders in the American Addition neighborhood andother expansionneighborhoods by working with to implement community-driven plans and supports strategic efforts to achieve items listed in each plan
  • Leads project-based data collection, including Evaluation, Measurement and Verification (EM&V) processes
  • Maintain the schedule of weatherization and deep energy retrofit work in thecommunities
  • through coordination with IMPACT's internal Weatherization team
  • Maintains consistent communication with regarding schedule of weatherization and/or retrofit work and oversees each households overall scheduled installations and services
  • Participates in and/or leads all American Addition and expansion neighborhood meetingswith the City of Columbus, Community members, potential partners andfunders
  • Managesmonthlyandquarterlyreportsonprojectprogress,includingallnecessaryfiscal documents andreports
  • Manages individual activity/data into the appropriate data collectingsystems
  • Presents on the American Addition Net Zero Neighborhood Project at community meetings and conferences
  • Represents Agency in a courteous and professional manner at alltimes
  • Other duties asassigned

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Working conditions are primarily within a standard office environment and require the ability to sit, operate a telephone, and use a personal computer for extended periods of time. The role also involves community-based work in various environmental conditions, which may require walking and standing for prolonged periods. Frequent travel within the city is required, along with availability for after-hours and weekend commitments.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, environmental studies, non-profit management, business administration or related field
  • 3-5 years project management experience in a community-oriented profession
  • 3-5 years' experience working with community advocates and volunteers
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in clean energy/environmental science/sustainability/ electrification field
  • Ability to organize, coordinate projects and meet deadlines with a minimal amount of direction
  • Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications
  • Strong research and analytical skills with knowledge of proposal/grant writing
  • Must possess a valid Drivers License and/or reliable transportation
  • Must be able to comply with agencys insurance carrier standards and policy
