Project Manager – Equipment Qualification (Manufacturing Expansion)

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to support the final stages of equipment acceptance for a large-scale manufacturing expansion project. This role will focus on coordinating the qualification, documentation, and turnover of new equipment and infrastructure, ensuring smooth integration into production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the equipment acceptance process for installations in designated manufacturing and support areas, including stockroom and cleaning center workstreams.

• Track and manage punch lists, qualification protocols, and final acceptance criteria in collaboration with engineering, operations, and quality teams.

• Maintain and update project schedules, ensuring alignment with expansion timelines and capital milestones.

• Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders (Facilities, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance).

• Support documentation and reporting for capital project closeout activities.

• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and internal quality standards throughout the acceptance process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (preferred). Minimum Associate's degree plus relevant experience.

• 5–7+ years of project management experience; demonstrated ability to work independently and drive results.

• Background in manufacturing environments; optics/precision manufacturing experience a plus.

• Hands-on experience with equipment qualification, capital project execution, and cross-functional coordination.

• Familiarity with cleanroom environments and regulated manufacturing preferred.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and identify efficiencies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.
