Project Manager – Equipment Qualification (Manufacturing Expansion)
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to support the final stages of equipment acceptance for a large-scale manufacturing expansion project. This role will focus on coordinating the qualification, documentation, and turnover of new equipment and infrastructure, ensuring smooth integration into production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the equipment acceptance process for installations in designated manufacturing and support areas, including stockroom and cleaning center workstreams.
Track and manage punch lists, qualification protocols, and final acceptance criteria in collaboration with engineering, operations, and quality teams.
Maintain and update project schedules, ensuring alignment with expansion timelines and capital milestones.
Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders (Facilities, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance).
Support documentation and reporting for capital project closeout activities.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and internal quality standards throughout the acceptance process.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (preferred). Minimum Associate's degree plus relevant experience.
5–7+ years of project management experience; demonstrated ability to work independently and drive results.
Background in manufacturing environments; optics/precision manufacturing experience a plus.
Hands-on experience with equipment qualification, capital project execution, and cross-functional coordination.
Familiarity with cleanroom environments and regulated manufacturing preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and identify efficiencies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.
