Overview:

William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, is seeking an experienced Bridges & Structures Project Manager to join our team. If you have a strong background in managing bridge and highway structures projects, we want to hear from you!

Location: This is an onsite position and can be based out of our Clinton, IN or Indianapolis, IN office.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage field operations and contract administration, including safety protocols, personnel management, subcontract scheduling, and procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Implement comprehensive safety planning for all operational activities.
  • Oversee contract management by detecting potential change orders, assessing changes in scope and site conditions, and ensuring performance aligns with the bid.
  • Create and manage project budgets effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors, identifying risk factors and cost overruns.
  • Plan the necessary equipment, skill sets, methods, and update the project schedule accordingly.
  • Ensure accurate cost accounting, schedule impacts, and communication logs are maintained.
  • Provide monthly cost projections and manage the impact of weather, changes, and completed quantities on contract value.
  • Accurately document weekly completed quantities and update the change order log weekly.
  • Ensure all change orders are reconciled and agreed upon with appropriate parties on a monthly basis.
  • Track and record committed costs from purchase orders accurately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in heavy civil and bridge construction.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a focus on problem-solving and teamwork.
  • OSHA 30 Hour certification required.
