You will be responsible for the delivery of Capital Program projects that are essential to maintain the roads and bridges districtwide. This position manages approximately 100 projects across the 5-year capital program. Additionally, you will work with local stakeholders to ensure projects meet expectations and minimize impacts on the traveling public. The project manager associate works daily to ensure all federal regulations on projects are being met to maximize the use of federal funds. Coordination of project milestones such as NEPA, Right of Way, Utility, and Railroad is essential to ensure projects remain on schedule for letting in the best quality. The project manager associate oversees design assignments ensuring all submittals are submitted timely, meeting the districts scope and INDOT's budget requirements.Location:This position is located in INDOT's LaPorte District, Capital Management Division.Salary:This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $59,800.00. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.A Day in the Life:The essential functions of this role are as follows:* Manage project team through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements.* Complete the scope of work ensuring INDOT's quality, financial, risk management and policy expectations are met.* Review overall work progress and technical performance on the project.* Communicate efforts during project delivery to ensure project success.* Review and understand all functional (ROW, environmental, design, utility, etc.) requirements to ensure clear expectations and establish predictable workloads.* Facilitate cross-functional engagement with design and construction.The job profile is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
