This position manages more complex projects and provides assistance to newer Project Managers. Project Managers are involved in every aspect of project development from scoping to Construction.Having a single point of contact through the 5-year project development process ensures the department has a champion overseeing all aspects through scoping, design, and into construction. This ensures efficient communications, stakeholder engagement, and risk and change management throughout the project lifecycle to ensure effective / positive project outcomes.Location:This position is located in INDOT's Seymour District, Capital Program Management Department.Salary:This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $59,800.00. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.A Day in the Life:The essential functions of this role are as follows:* Manage project team through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements.* Complete the scope of work ensuring INDOT's quality, financial, risk management and policy expectations are met.* Review overall work progress and technical performance on the project.* Communicate efforts during project delivery to ensure project success.* Review and understand all functional (ROW, environmental, design, utility, etc.) requirements to ensure clear expectations and establish predictable workloads.* Facilitate cross-functional engagement with design and construction.The job profile is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
