This position plays a critical role in the District's team approach to Capital Program Delivery relying on each role to carry a heavy project management workload. The Project Manager Associate maintains all the scheduling, coordination and budgetary needs of the District's transportation assets. Many unique and often expedited projects are managed annually by Project Manager Associates.The Capital Programs team collectively manages over $2,000,000,000 worth of projects across a 5 year program. Project Manager Associates are the most pivotal role in this endeavor as you will helps facilitate and manage projects in development for up to 5 years before construction. This position will manage State and Local projects, and you will be responsible for managing an average of $175 Million of infrastructure improvements.Location:This position is located in INDOT's Greenfield District.Salary:This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $59,800.00. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.A Day in the Life:The essential functions of this role are as follows:* Manage project team through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements.* Complete the scope of work ensuring INDOT's quality, financial, risk management and policy expectations are met.* Review overall work progress and technical performance on the project.* Communicate efforts during project delivery to ensure project success.* Review and understand all functional (ROW, environmental, design, utility, etc.) requirements to ensure clear expectations and establish predictable workloads.* Facilitate cross-functional engagement with design and construction.The job profile is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.What You'll Need for Success:You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:* Four (4) years of project management experience OR Associate's Degree and two (2) years of project management experience OR Bachelor's Degree.* Successful completion of Purdue's Project Management Essentials Course after 12 months but before 24 months of employment* Ability to manage projects of low, moderate complexity and dollar value, generally
