If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now! Position Title: Project Manager - 1 Location: Remote Travel: 5% Duration: 1 years. Pay rate: $50.00/hr - $60.00/hr Contractor must have: Computer, cell phone, and reliable high-speed internet available while remote. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaborate closely with Central Business team members to understand work streams, priorities, and business processes.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies to align with organizational goals and improve overall functionality.
  • Manage end-to-end process improvement projects.
  • Lead efforts to analyze, redesign, and implement optimized workflows.
  • Efficiently manage a high volume of requests/tasks while resolving complex issues.
  • Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes and operations.
  • Convert, migrate, and develop SOPs and processes within NYSERDA's Knowledge Base (Confluence).
  • Document best practices and share recommendations to increase awareness.
  • Review & analyze data sets to identify trends, flag anomalies, with an eye towards driving continuous improvement.
  • Provide oversight and support to other contractor pools or centralized processes.
  • Conduct voice of customer across teams at NYSERDA to determine need for new/improved services.
  • Other duties as identified that contribute toward the key outcomes of the Central Business Services team.

  • Experience commensurate with a Bachelor's degree (business or operations related); a combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Expected Years of Experience: 3-6 years.
  • Has well developed understanding of relevant technical principles and their application to a program area. Develops/formulates Deployment issues, problems and needs in at least one technical area. Has acknowledged expertise at conceptual level of technical skills and knowledge in at least one program area. Has basic understanding of State energy/environmental economic development issues.
  • Has developed and managed projects with little specific direction. Develops new projects and co-funding sources with own initiative. Carried out development of several projects through competitive solicitation phase that may or may not result from own initiative. Has provided ideas and rationale for program development in at least one technical area.
  • Has demonstrated ability to implement projects in a timely manner. Demonstrates the capability to manage all aspects of ongoing projects with no supervision. Is able to prioritize workload with other responsibilities. Effectively discharges general technical and project management assignments in a timely manner. Demonstrates strategic thinking connected to the organization's goals.
  • Has demonstrated ability to effectively head working groups or program teams. Provides guidance to junior staff when appropriate and can supervise the day-to-day work of interns.
