The Inventory Operations Project Leader is integral to the accuracy and integrity of inventory in our Outlets and Home Delivery Centers (HDCs) and ensuring the right inventory is in the right locations. This role requires an analytical mind, strong business acumen and an ability to simplify. Their core responsibilities are leading Outlet logistics, allocations and inventory planning to remove obstacles and drive results.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand intracompany inventory relationships and inventory flows between systems/locations
  • Lead, develop and inspire teams as the point of contact for Outlet inventory-related activity
  • Allocate product to Outlets based on analysis and partnership with Outlet leadership to drive sales
  • Evaluate overall allocation strategies and DC stock levels in order to optimize revenue generation
  • Lead logistics for Outlet inventory throughout our Supply Chain network
  • Lead and coordinate the annual physical inventory count for our Outlets
  • Drive continued process improvements as well as create and provide timely and meaningful shrink reporting to identify critical issues
  • Support field locations on an ongoing basis with inventory-related issues (receiving, tracking, auditing and reporting of inventory) as well as coaching and training of inventory leaders
  • Research recorded inventory adjustments and inventory shrink issues for determination of cause (Root Cause Analysis)
  • Define and implement metrics and reporting that measure quality inventory integrity and accuracy
  • Define easy-to-follow process paths and exception handling to ensure quality and inventory control
  • Partner with systems leads to design and implement innovative system improvements on behalf of our field teams to simplify and eliminate manual work
  • Provide support and oversight for inventory movement during relocations and new openings
  • Partner effectively with cross-functional business partners, including Accounting, Distribution Centers, Engineering, Finance, Galleries, Home Delivery Centers, Inventory Control, Outlets, and Transportation on inventory-related activities

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with root cause analysis and process design establishing, documenting and implementing change to improve procedures
  • Aptitude for technical and system applications including experience using Excel for large-scale data analysis, with data drawn from internal sources

Education / Experience & Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience in inventory, logistics, allocations or operations role preferred
  • High level of expertise with Excel and Google Sheets
  • Experience with Oracle RMS, Manhattan Active Omni, Salesforce and MicroStrategy a plus
