Summary

At Balfour Beatty Construction in Long Beach, California, we are seeking a Project Executive or experienced Senior Project Manager to focus on the Education Market Sector (K12 & Higher Education) within Southeast LA County and OC Markets. The primary role of the Project Executive is to be the project leader responsible for all aspects of the project's success, including client satisfaction, team effectiveness, employee development, financial goals, quality, and schedule. The Project Executive acts as the liaison between the jobsite, the Business Unit Leader (BUL), and the main office, providing support and resources to the Project Manager and Superintendent.

Essential Functions

• Participate in development, execution, and presentations of proposals.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings.
• Oversee the buy-out of the project.
• Verify accurate financial forecasting.
• Monitor budget, schedule, and quality.
• Review and approve deliverables.
• Manage risk according to company guidelines.
• Evaluate monthly project financial performance.
• Manage the strategic account process.
• Oversee the development of the initial project schedule.
• Supervise the process of project start-up.
• Mentor and manage employee development plans.
• Inform the BUL overseeing the project of issues and status.
• Ensure implementation of company policies and procedures.
• Monitor enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
• Oversee finalization of issues with Owner, Subcontractors, and Vendors at project closeout.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree required.
• 15+ years of commercial construction experience in project management.
• Extensive experience in K-12, Civic, Airport projects.
• 10+ years of direct supervisory experience.
• Experience in Design-Build delivery.
• Existing relationships with Education accounts in the Los Angeles Area.
• Proficiency with project management software (Constructware, P6, etc.).
• Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports.
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction applications.

The salary range for this role in West Covina, CA, is $190,000 to $220,000 annually.
