Job Title: Drywall Estimator

Location: Orlando, FL

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $60,000–$75,000 annually + Benefits + Bonus Potential

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. This individual will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive, and well-documented cost estimates for drywall projects across residential and commercial sectors. You'll work closely with project managers, clients, and trade partners to ensure estimates align with project scopes, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine drywall scope and requirements
• Conduct site visits to assess field conditions and verify project needs
• Prepare comprehensive material takeoffs and labor calculations for drywall systems
• Solicit pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to develop accurate cost projections
• Develop and submit detailed proposals and bid packages for competitive opportunities
• Coordinate with project managers and clients to review scopes, timelines, and expectations
• Maintain accurate estimate records, bid logs, and documentation for awarded and pending projects
• Support project teams with value engineering recommendations and cost-saving strategies
• Monitor job costing and update forecasts as projects progress

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction estimating, with a focus on drywall systems
• Proficient in industry-standard estimating tools such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, STACK, or similar
• Strong knowledge of drywall materials, assemblies, installation methods, and code compliance
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Capable of managing multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Certifications:

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
• Certified Drywall Estimator (preferred)
• Estimating Certificate from a recognized institution (a plus)
