Project Estimator - Elective Staffing : Job Details

Our client is seeking a Estimator in the Steel Industry in Cedar Rapids!

Pay: $80,000k-$110,000k

Schedule: 7am-4pm + Flexible for Overtime

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Position Type: DIRECT HIRE

Responsibilities:

• Manage the estimating and pre-construction of projects
• Pre-construction planning
• Labor and equipment cost estimates
• Material cost estimates
• Overhead and Profit requirement in estimates
• Proposal writing including bid forms, resumes, prequalification forms, and schedules
• Budget set up for awarded projects
• Project hand-off/kick-off with estimator, foremen, general superintendent & safety
• Participate in all internal Company meetings
• Weekly resource coordination meetings
• Post Project review meetings
• Participate in monthly Work In Progress meetings as needed
• Make timely requests for project labor needs – 6 month schedule updates
• Communicate changing project requirements (scope/schedule/safety requirements) with project team
• Promote Companies Core Vision & Values within and outside the company
• Other duties as required to make Company successful

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with Rebar Installations REQUIRED
• Degree in Construction Management or relevant experience preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Commitment to safety and an injury free workplace
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Customer oriented and focused on team success
• Computer skills - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Bluebeam
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
