Estimator – Infrastructure Projects

Location: Amherst, NY

Salary Range: $60,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience

AP Executive Staffing is partnered with a great company in the Amherst area to hire an Estimator for infrastructure projects. This full-time role supports bridge and tunnel construction by creating accurate takeoffs, developing estimates, and collaborating with internal teams to position the company competitively in the marketplace. The Estimator will serve as the main contact for the sales team, working closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and Procurement to ensure accurate pricing, lead times, and technical alignment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed estimates for bridge and tunnel projects, including material, labor, subcontract scope, and shipping
• Review bid specifications and drawings to align proposals with project requirements
• Collaborate with internal departments to assess capabilities and ensure accurate quoting
• Partner with Procurement to gather subcontractor pricing and lead times
• Provide technical recommendations and product support for project opportunities

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Engineering, Construction, or related discipline; Bachelor's preferred
• Experience in steel fabrication, manufacturing, or general/bridge construction is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SAP or ProCore is preferred
• Strong understanding of contract documents and commercial/technical responses
• Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills

Salary Range: $60,000–$80,000, depending on experience and qualifications
