Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:00 AM 4:00 PM

Compensation: $90,000 $100,000/year

Position Overview

Were seeking a Project Engineer with structural steel and metal fabrication experience to join our growing team in Elida, Ohio. This engineering role is perfect for candidates with SolidWorks expertise and hands-on knowledge of steel manufacturing, custom fabrication, or field install projects. At Quality Welding & Fabrication, our Project Engineer takes concepts from CAD to completed buildspartnering with shop teams, field crews, and leadership to bring solutions to life.

Key Responsibilities

Develop project plans and technical drawings using SolidWorks (or similar CAD software)

Perform structural analysis and solve fabrication/installation challenges

Coordinate timelines, materials, and resource needs

Create BOMs, technical specs, and documentation

Collaborate with shop, field, QA, and maintenance teams

Identify issues early and implement practical, hands-on solutions

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent field experience

35 years experience in project management or fabrication engineering

Proficient in SolidWorks or similar CAD software

Familiar with structural steel and custom fabrication

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Work includes time in office, shop floor, and job sites (grain facilities common)

Must be comfortable working at heights

Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs

Compliance with safety and PPE standards required
