Job Description

Identify metal fabrication processes and technologies that are most appropriate and cost-effective for the manufacture of company products. Maintain current records and share metal fabrication process standards across Rockwell Automation facilities globally. Lead teams to create standard fabrication processes. Support metal stamping, specifying, building, and qualification of tools for global facilities. Create business cooperation in optimizing standards and equipment globally, while ensuring the application of technologies. Establish solutions for increasing uptime and resolving equipment problems that affect manufacturing processes. You will report to the Manager of Fabrication Services.

Your Responsibilities
  • Research, develop, and implement new metal fabrication technologies for applicability and cost saving potential.
  • Work on complex issues requiring in-depth knowledge of product lifecycles, NPI, and manufacturing systems/process design.
  • Select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, ensuring engagement with project partners, and sharing knowledge based on facts and logic.
  • Identify project risks, oversee process governance, and manage process change.
  • Educate other departments on standard processes and promote re-use where applicable.
  • Evaluate factors such as costs, benefits, and risks before making decisions.
  • Translate the vision of future product manufacturing into clear priorities and plans.
  • Resolve problems and obstacles, helping others do the same.
  • Create successful execution of new projects by fulfilling individual responsibilities.
The Essentials You Will Have
  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in related manufacturing projects and process development.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • Experience with continuous improvement techniques, Lean, and Six Sigma projects.
The Preferred You Might Also Have
  • Knowledge of metal stamping tooling design or process.
  • Experience with multiple cultures, engineered-to-order processes, PMP certification, multilingual abilities, and additional Lean/Six Sigma certifications.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
