Project Engineer - Navigate Search : Job Details

A top-tier national contractor is seeking a Project Engineer with strong experience in large-scale civil infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly billing processes, change orders, and cash flow projections
• Review shop drawings, mock-ups, and project specifications to ensure compliance
• Coordinate with QA/QC on subcontractor compliance issues and maintain records
• Identify and procure critical materials, long-lead items, and schedule deliveries
• Support the development of work plans and site execution strategies
• Help manage document control, safety protocols, and environmental regulations
• Ensure compliance with all OSHA health and safety standards
• Perform material quantity takeoffs and assist in field supervision
• Contribute to purchase order and subcontract preparation
• Assist in schedule creation and updates using Primavera P6 or similar tools
• Provide field support and coordinate subcontractor operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 10+ years of experience on heavy civil construction projects, including those over $100M in value
• Experience in cost reporting and understanding contract/legal claims processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with industry platforms like Procore and Primavera P6
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
