Job Description

A Fortune 100 aerospace company is hiring Project Engineers in Phoenix, AZ. These engineers will lead several projects related to fielded auxiliary power unit (APU) changes and activities related to field issue resolution, production issues, and producibility issues.

NOTE: Entry-level candidates with 2-5 years of significant experience related to gas turbine propulsion systems and willingness to relocate are encouraged to apply!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop plans to design, test, and qualify revised designs for fielded APU products.
  • Meet technical performance measures (TPMs) for revised designs including weight, cost, reliability, and performance.
  • Adhere to schedule and budget constraints, including CAM responsibilities.
  • Support the overall APU design effort to meet system-level TPMs.
  • Exercise project management skills including planning, estimating, and scheduling.
  • Prepare and deliver project status updates and presentations for leadership and external customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of gas turbine engine design and technology, grounded in engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience with APU design and development.
  • Experience working with large ATR customers.
