Job Summary

Work Shift: 1 - First Shift

Are you the type of person who excels at building teams and solving real-world problems? In this role, you will lead a team through innovation, design, development, and initial manufacturing of new products. We're looking for individuals who are inventive and not afraid of challenges to provide innovative solutions.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and establish multiple design teams to align with organizational strategies and objectives to drive key business results.
  • Use expertise to ensure the department is serving its internal and external customers and meeting defined expectations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to meet product requirements for specific projects.
  • Lead and deliver on project goals, such as test plans, production preparation plans, and product performance plans.
  • Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to evaluate how to improve products and processes within the area and ensure that the team works efficiently to achieve goals.
  • What We're Looking For
    • A four-year college degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Agriculture, or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of five years' related experience, or another college degree (two-year or four-year) with a minimum of ten years' related experience.
    • Working knowledge of engineering fundamentals, including continuous improvement and lean, FEA evaluation, stress analysis, hydraulics, electrical systems, design, and manufacturing processes.
    • Knowledge of equipment manufacturing processes.
    • Ability to effectively partner with a project manager to coordinate development activities to release successful products.
    Travel

    Occasional travel is expected for this position.

    Work Location

    ONSITE: A team member's day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
