Project Engineer - Connect Search, LLC : Job Details

A well-established design-build general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support its growing portfolio of hospitality and multi-family developments in the Traverse City area. This role will work closely with both the Project Manager and Project Superintendent, providing essential coordination and field support to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Superintendent with daily field coordination, subcontractor scheduling, and site logistics
• Assist the Project Manager with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Help manage material procurement and delivery timelines
• Maintain accurate records of jobsite activities, inspections, and progress reports
• Collaborate with design and estimating teams during preconstruction
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality control standards
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to project planning

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in construction project engineering or management
• Strong understanding of multi-family or hospitality construction preferred
• Proficiency in construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
