Clayton Services is searching for a Project Engineer to join a thriving company in Northwest Houston. The Project Engineer will prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $90,000-$100,000/year

Project Engineer Responsibilities:
- Formulating project parameters, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring the project team
- Interacting with clients, identifying their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field
- Performing quality control tasks on budget, schedules, plan, and personnel performance, and reporting on the status of the project
- Collaborating and communicating with the project manager and senior engineers to efficiently and effectively manage the project's profitability
- Reviewing any engineering tasks and initiating corrective actions as needed
- Developing specifications and RFQs for the project equipment needs
- Creating purchase orders
- Analyzing sub-vendor bids and providing recommendations to procurement
- Monitoring and expediting specific packages with sub-vendors
- Creating frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection
- Establishing field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests
- Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications
- Other duties as assigned

Project Engineer Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related field required
- 5+ years of experience as a project engineer required
- Experience with bulk material handling of dry and liquid materials, weighing, dosing, and batching
- Experience with PFD and P&ID development
- Experience with pneumatic conveying systems (dilute & dense phase technology)
- Experience with dust abatement equipment, compressors & PD blowers, heat exchangers
- Experience with belt and screw conveyors, vibrators, screen separators
- Experience with compounders, cyclones, filters, rotary valves, diverter valves, LIW feeders, scales, silos, weigh hoppers, structural steel platforms, bagging/packaging equipment, and PLC process control systems
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
