Position: Project Engineer

Reports to: Project Manager

• Strong written and oral communication skills to coordinate the activities
• Proactive self-starter capable of setting a positive example for the employees
• Ability to supervise engineering staff and provide technical input/review of their work

• Expected to work well in team environment and oversee or assist in the oversight of the project team including all architects, designers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and consultants
• Exhibit real time understanding of project status (all facets) and be able to develop, distribute and discuss projects updates as required
• Responsible for the vetting and hiring of project consultants and vendors to ensure value and achievement of customer goals
• Ensure that all local, state, and national building codes and regulations and safety precautions are followed.
• Optimization in terms of project schedule, resources, supply chain, cost & quality
• Obtains all necessary regulations and permits.
• Develops and adheres to the budget, timeline, and quality control plan
• Perform constructability reviews, pricing, and cost impacts due to phasing and timing

• Preferred 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering (Buildings or bridges)
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferably in NY and NJ.
• Possesses familiarity with Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Bluebeam, and Project scheduling software.
