The Project Engineer is responsible for leading due diligence investigations as well as the design and engineering analyses of retail, commercial, industrial, and residential site layouts. Projects involve collaboration with Fortune 500 companies and local/regional developers, with varying degrees of complexity.

Responsibilities include:
  • Review municipal zoning and land development ordinances and agency regulations to assess land development constraints.
  • Prepare Site Investigation and Due Diligence Reports, including ordinance reviews, utility research, agency regulations, and site visits.
  • Develop Conceptual Site Plans and preliminary Grading and Design Plans.
  • Design Stormwater Management, Utility Systems, and Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Plans.
  • Estimate construction costs and prepare project proposals and budgets.
  • Coordinate projects with clients, consultants, and teams for comprehensive site plan applications.
  • Draft technical reports on drainage, sewer, and site investigations.
  • Communicate with outside agencies, clients, and contractors.
  • Present to planning and zoning boards, agencies, and project teams.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
    • 3+ years of Civil Site Engineering experience.
    • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification; Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
    • Valid driver's license and ability to operate personal/company vehicle.
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and knowledge of Truck and Turning & Modeling software.
    • Deep understanding of planning, zoning, hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater design.
    • Experience with utility design, regulatory agencies, and site investigation tools.
    • Proficiency in design software such as Hydraflow, HydroCAD, PondPack, SSA, HEC-RAS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in team environments, with client management experience.
