🌞 Utility-Scale Solar Project Developer (ERCOT Region)

📍 Location: Texas (Remote/Hybrid – Preference for Houston)

Are you ready to help shape the future of renewable energy in Texas? We're looking for a Solar Project Developer to join a global energy company's U.S. development team focused on delivering utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) across the ERCOT region.

This role offers the opportunity to manage and scale a pipeline of high-impact solar + storage projects while working alongside some of the industry's most experienced professionals in interconnection, real estate, permitting, and engineering.

🔧 What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end development of utility-scale solar and BESS projects — from site origination to NTP (Notice to Proceed).
  • Oversee all aspects of project development, including zoning, permitting, environmental review, land rights, and local/regional stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (interconnection, permitting, real estate, GIS, engineering) to ensure development milestones are met.
  • Manage external consultants, legal advisors, and permitting partners to keep projects on time and within budget.
  • Evaluate new market opportunities in Texas and beyond, staying ahead of trends in renewables and storage.
  • Drive internal alignment across legal, finance, and executive stakeholders to advance project and company goals.

✅ What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in solar and/or energy storage project development (utility-scale preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of ERCOT interconnection, permitting, and land use processes.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-phase infrastructure projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

💡 Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a mission-driven global energy developer committed to decarbonizing power generation.
  • Contribute directly to the energy transition in one of the most dynamic markets in the U.S.
  • Work in a hybrid or remote role with a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
  • Competitive compensation, long-term growth potential, and exposure to large-scale infrastructure investment.
