Project Controls Specialist – WTC, NY

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $50/hour | Approx. $104,000/year

Role Overview

We are hiring a Project Controls Specialist to support ongoing and upcoming Port Authority of NY & NJ projects. This role is critical in enhancing project delivery through advanced scheduling, cost control, and performance analytics. The successful candidate will bring precision, insight, and a collaborative mindset to a fast-paced and mission-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 (Version 21+)

•Conduct monthly updates and performance analysis on project milestones, budget forecasts, and risk metrics

•Prepare and deliver monthly reports including look-ahead schedules, cost variances, board dates, and settlements

•Support internal departments and client teams on project delivery improvements

•Recommend enhancements to project reporting systems and controls procedures

•Train and mentor junior staff or new hires as needed

•Ensure all documentation complies with Port Authority systems and requirements

Qualifications

•Bachelor's degree in engineering, accounting, business, economics, or PMP with technical degree

•1–3 years of project controls experience, including 2+ years with Oracle Primavera P6

•Strong Excel skills (rated 4/5 or above)

•Familiarity with cost-benefit analysis, capital planning, and risk management protocols

•Effective communication and problem-solving skills (rated 4/5 or above)

•At least 1 prior experience conducting or supporting training sessions in project controls

•U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship offered

•Hourly Rate: $50/hour
