POWER Engineers, a member of WSP, is a leading energy-related engineering and environmental consulting firm. We are currently seeking a Project Cost Controls Specialist.

Note: The selected candidate may work remotely full-time at a location other than a POWER-designated office or job site. Occasional travel to a POWER office may be required.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to oversee project management tasks.
  • Understand complex projects, manage costs, and interact with diverse project team members.
  • Possess an intermediate understanding of Earned Value Management.
  • Identify work scope, technical sequencing, and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Communicate effectively with project teams and internal groups.
  • Coordinate with engineering managers to align schedules with execution plans.
  • Report project progress and provide visibility on key deliverables.
  • Utilize look-ahead schedules to manage work effectively.
  • Prepare cost performance and cash flow projections based on budgets.
  • Manage changes, budgets, and schedules, and update project performance indicators.
  • Review and report on project expenditures and assist with project closeout.
  • Ideal candidates are self-starters capable of working independently.
Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Construction Management.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
Desired Education/Experience
  • Experience in electrical utilities and power distribution is preferred.
  • Certifications from AACE or PMI are desirable.
  • Knowledge of ERP, P6, and MS Project is advantageous.

Base salary ranges from $75,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Salaries are determined based on various factors and do not include additional compensation such as bonuses or benefits.
