This position is located in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. Teleworking is permitted for this position; however applicants should note that working from the 47 Trinity Ave SW office for an extended period of consecutive days may be required as determined by business needs.

Pay Grade: NUnder broad direction, the Business Processes and Projects Coordinator (BPPC) will serve as OIG's central ambassador to all projects and special assignment initiatives of moderate to significant complexity. The incumbent selected for this position will carry executive presence and demonstrate mastery in coordinating and managing the life cycle of all special projects/assignments, policy development, documentation reviews, and other activities assigned by the Inspector General's Executive and/or Senior Leadership teams. Additionally, the ideal candidate will understand the confidential and sensitive work produced in a Regulatory and/or Oversight setting and will demonstrate an ability to exceed the standards of accountability, integrity, and professionalism the role demands. Further, it is important to note that OIG's BPPC will serve in a high-visibility capacity and may interface with key stakeholders across DHS or other agencies; therefore, compromises and/or breaches in these standards and expectations will yield consequences of significant degree. Given this, only applicants who have a propensity to master the expectations around these demands, under limited supervision, should give this announcement consideration.
- Facilitates and manages the lifecycle of all assigned projects, special activities, and other assignments.
- Identifies, recommends, and plans the execution of special projects and assignments pursuant to the Inspector General and/or Deputy Inspector General's priorities.
- Creates and manages a central repository of current and historical projects, to include all supplemental documentation and activities from concept design to final product implementation.
- Serves as the Office's lead editor and/or technical writer on policies, procedures, executive correspondence, and other pertinent documents.
- Assists the Inspector General and Deputy Inspector General with ensuring standards of professionalism are adhered to across and within all OIG functions.
- Constructs professionally polished presentations summarizing new and ongoing activities as requested.
- Represents OIG as the principal Policy and Manual Management System (PAMMS) coordinator by collaborating with other policy points of contact within OIG and across DHS.
- Establishes operating procedures, practices and guidelines, and communicates them with program or departmental personnel.
- Conducts comprehensive needs assessments across OIG for various project/assignments and arranges for the appropriate allocation of human capital and financial resources to meet the needs of given assignments; forecasts future needs and proactively recommends adjustments to leadership team as necessary.
- Arranges meetings with key stakeholders, facilitates project discussions, and sets the direction for deliverables in accordance with the Inspector General and/or Deputy Inspector General's priorities.
- Observes all aspects of confidentiality relating to special (including classified) assignments, avoiding inadvertent disclosure or dissemination of sensitive information.
- Pivots between priorities, maintaining superior organization skills with minimal disruption, to meet OIG's evolving business demands.
- Develops schedules to ensure the timely completion of projects/assignments.
- Demonstrates remarkable initiative in identifying needs and taking proactive measures to resolve issues or develop recommendations to solve problems.
- Spearheads data/documentation gathering activities for all OIG Open Records Requests.
- Communicates with managerial staff as needed.
- Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.

- High school diploma/GED AND six (6) years of professional level experience related to the area of assignment.
Preferred Qualifications (Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the qualifications listed, demonstrate or possess most of the following skills/experience):
- Bachelor's degree in English, Project Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or other Communications discipline.
- Two (2) plus years experience creating, editing, and/or approving the release of news articles or other periodicals for an educational and/or business institution (any field).
- Two (2) plus years demonstrated experience effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
