This role will lead the support and maintenance of infrastructure and enterprise applications, while ensuring the development and implementation of tailored technical solutions.The ideal candidate is a seasoned IT professional with a background in systems analysis and project leadership.Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for IT operations to ensure reliability, efficiency, and alignment with project goals
  • Design, plan, and manage the City's network infrastructure, including servers, routers, firewalls, switches, and VPN connections
  • Direct the selection, implementation, and support of hosted (Cloud-based) software solutions and VOIP/telephony systems
  • Oversee the development and deployment of new applications, system enhancements, and software upgrades
  • Administer and monitor IT budgets, vendor contracts, and support agreements
  • Partner with stakeholders to assess business needs and provide effective technology solutions
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate IT personnel, ensuring clarity of roles and performance goals
  • Act as a primary escalation point for system issues and ensure timely resolution of technical problems
  • Support cross-departmental users with ongoing technology training and operational needs
  • Ensure documentation and compliance for system architecture, operational standards, and security best practices

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience accepted in lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 - meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa
Job-related Experience
  • Customarily has at least 5 years of experience as a Senior Systems Analyst, Project Leader, or similar IT leadership role
  • Proven experience in systems design, infrastructure deployment, and enterprise solution implementation
