Cambridge, MA 02138 ONSITE

03+ Months Contract with Extn

Pay Rate $30/hr on w2

Schedule flexibility for 21hr max per week

PREFERRABLY Monday - Thursday.

3. Excellent time management and discretion MUST be reliable AND professional to work in this environment.

Maintain current communications, newsletter information provided by the candidate, and assist manager with projects. Range of responsibility mainly with communications and social media. PROVEN strong writing skills WITHOUT using ChatGPT and editing skills. Proficiency with social media platforms. Target: candidates with AS degree and/or College Degree. Proven track record with absorbing information and summarizing in professionally polished written consumable information.

Job Description:

Ability to work independently and establish your own workload, priorities, and deadlines

Produce high-quality work accurately and efficiently. Strong writing, editing, and proofing skills . Social media proficiency. Good attention to detail. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Design, photography, and video editing skills are preferable

Core responsibilities:

Social media: Monitoring each platform and performing community management

Drafting copy, creating graphics/securing imagery, and posting content. Filming and/or editing videos.

Website: Updating and managing website pages to keep content current. Researching, drafting, proofing, and uploading news articles to WordPress. Keeping the website directory up to date.

Department newsletter: Researching content and contacting department members re events and news. Creating graphics and sourcing images. Compiling the newsletter and proofing the copy, imagery, links, etc.

Event support: Update/create event posters and relevant supporting materials. Sharing across internal channels as well as promoting across the Harvard ecosystem, when appropriate. Capturing photography/videography. Supporting the Event Coordinator with event set up and close down.

Admin and planning: Staying on top of the news referencing the department and our faculty Supporting the team with branding and proofing documents. Follow the Communications Strategy and strategic documents as well as planning and sourcing content for the month ahead.
